I am a dentist in Jackson, WY, and I am an addict. No, not that, it's mountain bike racing. Just when I think I can quit, new and exciting races keep popping up. And I can't stay away. The surge in popularity of longer races has made the problem even worse. Last year I was lucky enough to win the Creampuff 100, Galena Grinder 50, High Cascades 100, Pierre's Hole 100 and finished 3rd at the 24 Hour solo National Championship. I missed the Snowbasin 100k last year but am very excited for this year as I've never raced there before. The experts say that admitting you have a problem is the first step toward the cure. So, yes, I have a problem, but I'm not sure I'm ready for the cure, racing is just too much fun.
